Defiance is a city located in the northwestern part of Ohio. Established at the convergence of Auglaize and Maumee rivers, the city was once home to Defiance Fort, where General “Mad” Anthony Wayne, a general during the Northwest Indian War in 1794, sought to “defy” the English and Indians. Now Defiance is a hot spot for recreation and history.
