TRANSIT AND STORAGE INSURANCE

Furniture is not designed to be moved! Whilst Allied takes all the necessary precautions to protect your possessions, there are many outside forces beyond our control that need to be considered when moving such as weather, accidents, vibration, shock, pressure, movement and atmospheric changes.

After your goods are packed, they may pass into the hands of other organisations including rail and shipping companies, airlines, handling agents and customs and quarantine officials (when moving overseas). It is for these reasons that we strongly recommend that you consider transit insurance for your relocation.

To ensure your peace of mind against unforeseen circumstances, we have developed a comprehensive Transit Insurance Cover that is available to you to minimise the risk and exposure you can be subject to in the unfortunate event of an accident or major incident occurring.

Our Own Insurance Policies

In the unlikely event of a claim, Allied endeavours to provide you with an efficient in-house claims management service. Allied will assign a dedicated claims manager and aim to settle any claim as quickly as possible, ensuring you only deal with one company throughout.

Furniture Storage

Circumstances such as having to temporarily move into a hotel or rented house may require you to place some or all of your belongings into storage. Allied offers secure storage to ensure maximum protection for your items whilst in our care.

All items placed into storage will be listed on a storage inventory list then packed and moved to the designated Allied storage facility, where they will be placed in a secure storage environment.

With a network of worldwide storage facilities, Allied can arrange long-term or short-term storage. Access to your stored belongings is never far away*. A simple call to your local Allied office is all it takes to arrange an inspection or the delivery of your belongings to your new home.

Allied has more furniture storage centres in New Zealand than any other moving company, and our storage facilities are secure, dust-proof and vermin-proof.
