2. DUBAI MARINA – Many expats moving to Dubai who are bachelors or younger couples prefer to stay in this area because of its attractions, nightlife and the view. There is even something for the ladies, with many clubs hosting ladies’ nights and ladies’ days by the pool. Although only high-rise apartments with 1 or 2 bedrooms are available in the Marina, you’ll find glitzy hotels, rooftop, beach and pool bars, restaurants and shops filling the area. 3. DOWNTOWN DUBAI – Downtown Dubai is one of the most in-demand locations for shopaholics because it houses luxurious shops and retail outlets. You’ll find
Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and a wide variety of restaurants to enjoy a variety of cuisines and tasty delights from around the globe. Downtown Dubai is suitable for small families as there are not many villas.

• Near business centres.

• Moderate traffic.
• Far from schools.
• Not suitable for larger families.

1. MIRDIF – Just behind Dubai International Airport lies Mirdif, where you can choose between apartments and villas. This is suitable for families/couples or singles who are looking for low-cost accommodations in a serene environment. Plus, it’s pet-friendly!
PROS:
• Close to schools.
• Near the city, parks and the airport.
• Great for outdoorsy types.
CONS:
• Moderate traffic.
• The sound of aircraft, which you’ll most likely get used to after a while).
2. THE GREENS – Just 15 minutes away from beaches, health clubs and malls is The Greens. There are a number of bus stops around the area but the nearest metro station is not within walking distance. It is the best choice for small families/singles as The Greens offers only mid-rise apartments buildings. If you are looking for a diverse community, The Greens is the place for you.

• Great views.
• Good location.
• Gym, pools and basketball courts are available.
CONS:
• Moderate traffic.
• Far from the metro station.
3. DISCOVERY GARDENS – Located at Jebel Ali, Discovery Gardens houses 6 themed communities. If you are working in Abu Dhabi or have families or friends living in the capital, this area is under an hour away. If you love vibrant architecture and afternoons in the garden, this is the best place to stay and is close to sandy Jebel Ali beach.
PROS:
• Very affordable.
• Easy access to Dubai Marina and Dubai Media City.
CONS:
• Heavy traffic congestion during rush hour.
• Away from the metro station.
